Went to an auction last weekend. A ton of hit and miss engines, also had a fully restored John Deere D, and an original Baker. Lots of old machining equipment and a grain truck. Truck was a consignment by a neighbor. 1999 Mack Midliner 16' bed 180,000 miles 33K diesel and air brakes. first bid was 2,000. I went 3000 and it stopped there. I was shocked. Never in a million years would i have thought it would go for that. When the guy signed over the title he was pissed. cant say i blame him though.
That looks like a hell of a buy! I went to an auction for the same reason last weekend. But I quit at $800 and it went $850.. construction company bought it.. they’ll probably have it tore all to hell in 6 months..
How many bushel will that truck haul 350-400?
Yeah I can't complain a bit. Auctions are usually "if I would have just bid one more time I would have got it" for me. Glad to hear I'm not the only one lol.
The f-600 is a 14' bed and holds 360, Freightliner is a 16' and holds 435. This bed is a taller 16', so I'm thinking it should be close to 500 at max capacity, but at legal weight about 400.
nice score!!! that will look good under the new combine!!
We always run legal! Lol load it until it rolls off. Looks good nice addition to the family.
