 Have you guys pulled before?

What would/is your pulling tractor of choice?

I pulled when I was in high school a couple times. I used my fathers 1486 that was turning more rpms and have a little more juice to the pump.

I have always wanted a large narrow front orange case to use as a puller. Xx70? These seem like it would different than everybody else.

What say you?

here is a nice video that make a compelling argument to use a 1566 though!

two notable pullers I  this class

4640 3:30 mark

1566 6:00 mark

if I had to do true out of field with an old fashioned sled I would pick a 4850 for the 18k class.

if money was no object I would do a 6030 pro stock!

I pulled our 5020 one time when the slow sled was still around.  I didn't let it lug but it walked past a couple magnums and I pushed the clutch in right behind a well known 4440.  with a couple practice pulls it could have been a real contender for the out of field class.

i like hot farm we have here. Still a normal tractor plus some safety equipment because they are turned up a good bit. Its budget friendly, but i like that its still a tractor, not a tube frame with a fiberglass overlay.

A 9000 or a 9600 to be different but a 1066 would make a nice easy setup like 11500 to 13500 class 6 mph.
