I bought the little disc mower and it's slick!  But I forgot what it's like to have to cut hay like a mold board plow pattern.

When I get my own baler I will do Headlands first so I'm not running down that hay.

But for the most part the more did what I wanted it to do and that was not tear up the field. Them old 1600s did not have very good flotation and the ground doesn't have to be that soft for him to leave some ruts. My field below the hill with springs in it I've been stuck so many times because that mower conditioner goes down.

I'm excited for that big field with grass hay! With the old John Deere that field would be a two-day event. Was this mower he'll easily be within a day!

im still surprised at how light that thing looks. I was really expecting something much heavier. are you serious about a 3 point for the front of the 4020?

My grandpa had a John deere 945 and a 946 over the years.

They are very good at leveling gopher mounds with no problem, but it made the 7610 grunt a little bit.

But at the end we had the MT655D on it, and on a long smooth field it was nice to go any were from 7-10mph with no problems.

We'll see about the front 3-point if I got time to do that this winter or not?

But yes between the 4020 and the 5020 they both have front PTO. How awesome would that be!

5020 would be a beast with a front mower on it. I agree with Tyler that that thing looks really light.  Nice job on the mower Jon.

No. In the conditions I was cutting in the sickle would have done a  cleaner job but at 1 third the speed.

I can put up with a few stems. This first crop was just a weird scenario. Super tall but very small stemmed
