So I got some cheap seed from a friend who works in the Agronomy field. They had some carry over seed that they couldn't sell so he offered it to me CHEAP! Its Alfalfa and Italian rye mix. I did germ test it and it did grow.... I think I might try broadcasting it into corn at V3 as a cover crop, but if it grows good it might be next years hay field.

Will it work? Will it have striping where nothing will be growing next year? Will grass fill in the strips if there is striping?

When I was at the University of Minnesota they said that Alfalfa will not survive with corn. It can't live in the dark that well.

But I would still try it. I would get out there very early because we know how slow that Alfalfa grows.

Next year could you fill in where the corn was list some grasses?
